MARIPOSA: On the Importance of the SOGIE Equality Bill and towards an equal society

"Simply put, the SOGIE Equality Bill is never about one’s actual or perceived SOGIE. Rather, it is about equality and ensuring that we live in a society where there is equal opportunity for all. It’s never the SOGIE Bill but always the SOGIE EQUALITY Bill"

But beyond elections, we will still engage with communities. It is important to demonstrate to the legislators that there is critical mass support for this bill. The show of force can always pressure them to vote in favor of it. And of course, there is tireless persuasion, reeducation, and engagement. We should not give up on people who are still open to be engaged and learn more about the causes we are fighting for.
